Get her her favorite flowers (You DO know what her favorite flowers are.............RIGHT????).
Roses are nice, but they are more typical for occaisions like anniversaries or valentine's day. When mine comes back from freakin' Thailand, I'll probably get her daisies or tulips. Daisies are her favorite, but I got her daisies last time. Gotta change it up a little...

i'd say if you haven't gotten her roses before that should be a good choice, especially when she sees you standing in public at the gate with them. big points there. imo, the gesture itself will outweigh the actual choice of flower, or gift even. good luck.

I got carnations as a "make-up" flower. How ghey..![]()
I like daisies and lilacs....lilacs smell AMAZING. They used to grow at my high school in the courtyard right outside of one of the history classrooms...and girls would fight each other for a seat by the window to smell the flowers. Lilacs are great.

Haha! That's one of those questions that you ask early, ask often. You can sneak it in during the early weeks of a relationship because you can ask nonsense like "What's your favorite ice cream? What's your favorite pizza topping? What's your favorite flower?" Take notes all the while. It's a great time to dredge up gift and date ideas without it being apparent that you are doing soOriginally posted by: americangigolo

I would get her favorite flowers but I don't know what they are... never asked her
But thanks for the suggestions everyone, maybe I'll go with the Gerber Daisies or tulips.![]()

It sounds like banter, but it's a great trick. I pulled this on my current gf and extracted "Daisies" from her. When I bought her a bunch of daisies a couple weeks later, she had completely forgot. "Daisies are my favorite!! How did you know?!?!"
Remember this, grasshopper![]()

That has been the BEST advise so far!!!
If you want something exotic, get orchids! They smell great and can be somewhat inexpensive at some flower shops. Or get a big bunch of sunflowers, or iris'. Write a little "love letter" with the flowers telling ehr how much you missed her too!
