OK, so I drive a Ford Explorer 15% of the time, but at least I know how to handle it
Anyway, I'm taking a summer Accounting class at State and I'm commuting from Burlington to Raleigh. Well once I get to campus, I take the Varsity bus which drops me off in close proximity to the Accounting building.
Well, I get out of class and head to the bus stop and I see two cops cars behind one of the State buses. And I think "OH HELL, my damn bus broke down!" But as I get closer I see the two cop cars and a white LOADED '97 or '98 Tahoe. Mofo plowed right into the back of a bus that was stopped at the bus stop. Both air bags had gone off and the front end of the Tahoe was smashed all to heck. There was some reddish liquid pouring out of the front of the truck. Of course, there was NO damage to the bus Both peeps in the car were fine. I assume the guy ('bout 18 or 19) was driving b/c he had a scared look on his face like the look little kids get when they see Michael Jackson. His semi-hot "lady friend" was I guess explaining what happened to the cops. The guy pulled out his cell phone and was probably talking to his dad telling him how he just smashed up daddy's $40,000 SUV
But, he COULD NOT have been paying attention. The buses stop in the right lane (two lanes one way, two lanes the opposite direction). And all day long buses are stopping in the right hand lane to pick people up or drop them off, so he should have been in the left lane anyway. Damn idiot!
But luckily, it wasn't my bus....mine came by about 5 minutes later
