What Kind of Dog is This?

I wouldn't think they'd put a mutt in there, across from a dalmation. Figured it's gotta be a breed I haven't heard much about.

Heinz 57, that's no purebred dog I've ever seen.

Went to a cat show yesterday, wife wouldn't let me buy another one, foiled my plan to die old & alone with cats🙁

its built like a labby...

But its obviously not, its a strange, scary cross between a Lab and something else..

At least, thats what it looks like to me...

It is a Jack Russle Terrier. These dogs are smart and are used often in TV and movies -- but they are also very hyper and like all terriers (aside from the Boston Terrier which is not a Terrier), they are stuborn.

At least, I think it is a Jack Russle. It has the size and shape and TV look.

Just from the perspective in the other picture where he's standing in front of a woman, he looks too big to be either a JRT or a beagle. He looks like a bigger dog to me. Just look at the size of his tag.

Picture 2

that's a perspective trick, methinks. he's up to her knees, at the highest. which would be what, a foot or less tall?

I was figuring mid-thigh or so. Just look at how big his tag is on him. If dog tags are all similarly sized, that makes this dog about the same size as my collie (70 lbs).

JRTs don't have tails, do they?
