What kind of doctors/specialists perform tonsillectomies?

I current dont have a personal doctor/physician
dont want to go to one, give him money, just so he can tell me yes or no you should get a tonsillectomy

what is the name of specialists who perform these procedures? (whose office i can go to directly for a consultation)

I had mine taken out a few years ago. NO fun at all. though i also had nose sugery at the same time.

odd part is the doctor had some huge hands. not fat but big and mucled. wonder how he was able ot do anything at all!
