I use a 6' table with legs that fold out. Cost me ~$50 :)

I have an Ikea Mikael desk. One of the simplest pieces of furniture I own but there's nothing wrong with it. I don't even know how old it is; my wife bought it before I met her.

For durability, I really prefer the tempered plate glass / metal desks from companies like Z-Line Designs. After having several fiberboard desks fall apart over time, I just can't recommend them anymore.

I use one of those desks you had in like science class that is big enough for 2 people to site side by side and is made of metal. It is really just a big metal table with rubber around the edges and a woodgrain lament top. Picked it up at a school surplus sale like 10 years ago for $10.

I'm using a nice-sized square dinner table. It's tan and wood. Perfect for a couple monitors, keyboard and mouse. Think the table was like $800 or something back in the day, but I didn't need it any more so it's now my desk.

I have an executive type desk that was a slickdeal from Staples. Originally 199.99 dropped down to $80. Very strudy desk and I love it. If you can wait or improvise for the moment you can catch some pretty good deals on the furniture that would be better quality material than the ikea desk you are looking at.

Ikea Vika. 2.5x5

It's sagging in the middle a bit, but it still works fine. Gives me lots of room underneath to put my feet up on the sub that I only use as a stool anymore. Sitting upright and straight at a desk is for suckers.

Kind of impossible to get a good picture since my computer room is really small. It's got a small upraised back that my main screen is on and no draws or anything for keyboard/etc. two small shelves under the secondary screen.

I have a large basic Ikea desk with glass over the top. Similar to the desk in the OP minus the drawers and possibly a bit bigger.

We use an Ikea Gallant :)

I can't use anything but an 'L' desk after having one. Have it set up the same way as you do, and love being able to rest my left arm on the small portion sticking out.

Just using a $150 Office Max desk I bought like 10 years ago right now, but would love something like that.

I have one similar to this only even bigger. I got it used for $280 from a local office supply warehouse. Was a great deal. Looks like NORAD in here sometimes :)

An IKEA gallant with an extension on the narrower end. Picked it up for $50 on craigslist. :D

I love it.

DIY Ikea desk. Works... Not particularly nice looking anymore, but whatever. I bought the table top plus 4 metal legs. Does the trick.
