What kind of crack is this?

Hi my iPad Mini 4 16GB White has this weird crack. When I touch it it feels smooth and when I scratch it with my nails I don't feel anything. What is it and how do I fix this? I am planning to sell this on eBay because I want to save up and buy the iPad pro 12.9. Anyone know how much I could get on my iPad Mini 4 with the weird crack? Appreciate the help guys/gals thanks ^_^

I have the same thing on my work iPhone, it's on the underside of the glass. On mine it appeared after the phone got a healthy bend in it.

No price checks allowed, but check Swappa to see what other slightly damaged iPads mini are going for. It's probably not worth the cost, time, or stress to replace the display.

Healthy bend lol? I have no idea how I got mine. Do you know what the name of crack is that? Is not water? How do I fix it and how much does this cost if I do pay someone to get it repaired for me? I want to sell it you see. Oh and yes I am living in the UK so yeah technically I am from the UK

Not sure about the cause but I've seen a very similar pattern under a glass screen protector where the layers have come apart from each other but the physical pressure of the parts pushes them back together.

I would guess its a problem with whatever is laminating parts of the display together.

As to how to repair it...I've no idea. Potentially if its an adhesive problem heating it might help but I have no experience of this at all and am just guessing.

Also if you're in the UK take it to a CEX or similar to get a rough idea of what they would pay. You can price up a second hand one in similar condition (they grade A, B and C). If you ebay it you'll probably get a price somewhere between what they'll give you on trade in and what they'll sell one at.

I just check the CEX website prices differ from colour to colour? I can't seem to find the white iPad mini 4... Also I just realized eBay take 10% and PP take 5% also or is it 10%? -_-
it seems selling on CEX is the way to go? Even if they take 100 its worth? I have crack remember

Not that CEX pay me anything but I'll recommend them for buying as well as selling. You'll get more if you go for store credit rather than cash and if you can find a Grade A (ie mint condtion, no cosmetic wear and tear and complete box and accessories) ipad pro you'll get a two year warranty from them rather than just whatever is left from apple's one year warranty.

I bought a grade b ipad mini 2 (out of apple's one year warranty) and CEX gave me two years warranty from my purchase date with them.
