it is making all that extra noise because of the wind turbulence/air rush from the turbo through the intake. Some of it is probably coming from the air rushing past the air filter as well for the intake to the turbo.

dash looks like a Subaru. My guess it is a WRX.

The sound as stated before is a turbo followed by the blowoff valve.

Definetly turbo'd, has either a diverter valve or a bov, its kinda quiet.... he probably has an open wastegate dump (I have one on my Audi A4, it gets kinda loud

It looks like the interior to a late model Sentra, SER Spec V if I had to guess. The only reason for this assumption is the little compartment right in the middle of the dash above the gauges. My friend has an SER and the cluster looks the same too. Random guess

I think he was just testing out a new mod....goofing with the throttle to check the response. I am guilty of that.
