What kind of bells and whistles on an LCD?

What kind of connections come with today's LCD monitors? I'm talking about what kind of connections should be standard.

And about the dual-link DVI. Why would you need a dual-link DVI connection?

And HDMI is the best connection (according to the sticky)? When will video cards start coming out with HDMI?

For an LCD, it seems that standard VGA (analog) and DVI with HDCP (digital) are most common. There are some that also feature additional inputs, such as extra USB connectors or TV/HDTV inputs (Gateway sells an LCD that has component and S-video inputs for TV signals, for example). I haven't seen any LCD monitors with HDMI that weren't primarily meant for HDTV use, but there may be some out there.

Here are some HDMI cards, though none of these are high end cards.

VGA and DVI are pretty much standard on all monitors. Higher end LCDs might have more inputs; my dell 24" has svideo, vga, dvi, component and composite.
