What kind of audio output is this?

This is the only audio out for the TV I have. I bought this from my wife's cousin who repairs them but I don't have a manual. My son needs an audio cable for his headphones while playing his Xbox. Help would be appreciated.

Yes. It's a digital optical (toslink) utput. There's are not really cheap ways to hook headphones up to it. You'll need an active converter, or a reciever between them.

You sure there is no headphone jack anywhere on the TV? What is the make/model?

I don't see any headphone jacks on it & like I said, its the only audio out. Not sure of the model but its a Panasonic 50" TV. How its set up is this:

The Xbox is hooked up to the TV via HDMI. My son has a headset that plugs into the Xbox via USB, but it also has RCA(?) cables (red & white I believe) also. We figured the RCA cables should plug into an audio output from the TV but there isn't any. The only audio is the toslink that's out. I thought maybe since the Xbox has it also if we plugged it in there from the TV then he'd get sound to the cans. I'll take a picture of the inputs and try to find the model no. in the morning.
