I know APR has many many variables. But I'd like to know what my friend should be paying for her used car which costs ~10k. She's 27 and has decent credit...

Can you please post your APR and the car for which you got the loan for?

Thanks...

I'm paying 5.00% variable rate over 5 years from PC Financial.

If you're in Canada, I suggest you check them out. They have some of the best rates around, and a no-fee bank account as well.

0% CitiBank MasterCard on balance transfers until November 2003
9% fixed at the bank I work for
9-14% all my other credit cards

None of the above credit cards have an annual fee.

4.9% American Honda Finance :D

I still jealous of the fact that I have the same credit card, and the best they'll do for me is 5.9% on balance transfers. :(

That sucks, CitiBank MasterCard kept hounding me with pre-approved offers ... I'd consider them for half a second then rip up the envelope and toss it. Well this time they sent me a larger than usual envelope with a lot of fancy clear see through plastic ... once I saw 0% and November 2003 my eyes bulged out. I was almost certain that I'd be declined due to the oodles of money I owe and my new $17k Honda Accord but nope they approved me for a $2k cc. Woohoo 0% baby!
