what kind of adapter is needed to connect to 24pin ATX Power Connector on lga 775mobo

A 24-pin ATX connector is standard. I suggest you look closer.

1 x Main connector (20+4Pin)

Where in the world is all this "Haswell PSU" bad info coming from?

Heck, the PSU you linked does not even mention Haswell.
