What kind of accent do you have?

I cover mine up pretty well. I've had people in Indiana, New York, and Louisiana all tell me that I have no accent at all. I actually have a southern Louisiana type accent, but I cover it up. I was just listening to my sports report, and I can hear it come out a bit in the word "row".

So what kind of accent do you have?

I'm from Los Angeles, other people in the US say we have an accent, but I don't think I do, I just sound normal. upper midwest like Wisc and minnesota, New England, and New york, and the rest of the south have distinguisable accents. I can tell the difference many times between someone from Texas, Mississippi and Lousiana, but I couldn't tell you if a person was from Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada or Arizona.

I have a slight Asain Accent. A lot of my friends can't pick it up, but close ones can. Apparently, I also have a Chicagoan acent, but that's also slight.

I'm from California.
I don't believe there is an accent.
Most words generally pronounced the way they should be 🙂
Me can't vouch for grammar though.

No, but I use a few southern words like y'all on occasion (not much though).

When I was a kid and hung out w/ my family in MA I'd pick up the vocabulary there and a slight accent as well.

Born in Queens, don't have an accent there... moved to Lon-Gisland in 4th grade... still no accent.

I'm lost.

I actually read a lingustics paper a few years back one of my friends was writing in college where they said pronunciation wise, Californians (nor cal in perticular) have some of the least accented english around. Don't know what his source was. *smack head*

So I guess that'd mean I have no accent.
