I'm sick of buying cheap sheets having them tear every 6 months or so. What brand of sheets do you use for your bed? Also, what thread count? I'm thinking of going with 600+count Pima cotton for my next set.

Also what kind of pillow do you use?

I have a set of Canopy 400TC from Walmart that are decent. I have also heard good things about the Kirkland 600TC from Costco, a friend of mine uses those only.
 
Flannel during the winter.

The trick is to buy them off season. Soon I'll be looking for summer/fall sheets. Penny's has decent sheets dirt cheap if you find the right deal.
 
Flannel, definitely flannel.

I made the mistake of trying those jersey(?) sheets once, I got completely tangled up in them and almost killed myself. You should stay away from them whenever possible if you are an active sleeper.

600TC from Overstock. Mine have lasted about 6 years swapping out two sets. They're about ready to retire (starting to fray at the edges).

Someone gave me a set of 600TC sheets from Costco. They're okay too, but not as nice as what I got off Overstock.

I'm sure I didn't pay more than $50 per sheet set... and my sheets feel great when I get into bed. Like, when I travel overseas and then come back to my own bed; I notice that I have nice stuff.

Goose down pillows... two of them stacked up. Overstock.

I bought another two from Costco. They sell a brand called Pacific something or another. The two from Costco are not as filled and puffy as the two from Overstock, so they get used for by whoever might be sharing the bed.

All of the pillows are in zipped up cases and then inside the normal pillow case.
