What just happened to my computer?!

Some kid just told me to install updates for my motherboards BIOS... So I installed the file on my CD off of the manufacture website and burned the update on a CD, rebooted and then updated my BIOS then all of a sudden my monitor and mouse wont work, keyboard lights are on and my Computer is on, Power button works... But nothing is shown on screen and my mouse won't light up... Some kid from here told me to do this to fix a previous slow boot problem I had... I need help, if my motherboard just fried im going to be one pissed person.

Try to clear the CMOS.
Use jumper or take the battery out. Remember to unplug the system from the power completely.

you can't fry a mobo by updating the bios and drivers. that would be news to me.
You probally downloaded the wrong bios or installed it incorrectly. Windows has a simple GUI bios flashing program that only needs a flopyp drive and a floppy. I use it all the time. Try looking around for that instead of DOS-bios flashing. As for you being pissed... settle! Just reset the CMOS and try again. As long as you back up your old bios, all's well.
