What just happened??? (seti)

bunker

Okay, so I have my cache set to 17. I come into work this morning and there's 6 waiting to be xmitted (don't have autoxmit on). I change my cache to 0 because I'm switching email addresses and hit save config (seti driver). I then hit transmit. I see two dos boxes pop up, text goes whizzing by, and it looks like it's done transmitting (blue icon).

I go and look at the settings on seti driver and here's what I have now:

Current Cache size: 3 where did the other 8 wu's go????
Processing: 1
Waiting to Process: 2
Needed to fill: 0
Ready to Transmit: 0

to sum it up 17 wu's cached minus 6 wu's sent should equal 11 in the current cache size.
I haven't checked OK's stats yet to see what actually transmitted, but I'm a bit confused.

*Edit - I just checked OK's stats and the six transmitted fine. But it also shows that I have 11 wu's pending for this machine. According to seti driver I only have 3 pending. WTF?

OK sets a cache for you, so you have 11 pending there - it doesn't kow anything about your local settings as far as I can tell.

I don't know but mine is doing weird stuff exactly like what you are seeing!
I increase my cache size and it pulls down a few (not what I specified) and goes along its way crunching as if it has completed everything.

Try hitting SETIDriver's "Transmit" button again and it should make a second sweep and try to get the rest. I had to do this several times just now to get 16 WUs from OK's, after setting up to participate in the PowerPot.

The problem isn't that I never got the 8 wu's, the problem is they were here on my machine and they seem to have disappeared.

17 in cache
06 - transmitted
---
11 wu's in cache (remember, i set my cache to zero before doing this)

The problem is, I don't have 11 in cache now, seti driver only shows three (should be 11).

Okay, this is messed up....If I change the desired cache size to 10 then current cache size changes to 12. If I change it back to 0, current cache size goes to 3?????

geekender, yes, the folders are there with the wu's. (by the way, I've been crunching on and off for over 2 years!).

I fixed it....Deleted the setidriver.cfg file and let it recreat itself. Everything is showing up correctly now.

Ok's proxy is having problems so that also may be the problem.

From what I read down lower his server had problems so he is running it on his personal machine.
