I think your old mannishness is just showing, ear gauging seems to have gotten increasingly wide-spread over the last 20 years, Jinjer has been around for 12 years, The Agonist has been around for 14 years, etc etc.

I've seen all kinds of ear gauging.....and plenty gone wrong where they should have gone down a size rather than continuing to go up. It's one of the reasons I think it's so stupid.

Me not knowing bands that have been around in the past 15 years isn't at all a surprise.....even more so since the Biebs hasn't been putting out so many records lately.

Jinjer sounds kinda generic to me, but, lots of bands with deathy style vocals do ..

I have been hooked on Igorrr and Fleshgod Apocalypse as of late, with a nice helping of Car Bomb
