What items would you consider healthy?

If you were stocking your counters in a convience store, what items would you put in your health section?

Powerbars, slim fast bars, protein bars, etc. Even non bar items, but small enough that they can be included with the bars.

What do girls eat thats healthy when they are on the run? Cereal bars? I dont know any girls that eat protein bars.

Unsalted or LIGHTLY salted whole nuts, especially almonds with the skins.
Dried fruit
Trail mix
Yogurt <---girls eat this
Low salt No preservative Jerky for the Atkins folks
POWER GEL <---right next to the booze 🙂

Some of that stuff would be alright for a healthy section, but others would be better off in "snacks" or "Dairy" like the yogurt and the jerkey. Even the healthiest of Jerkys and Yogurts are full of fat and not really healthy at all.

Beg to differ with you there. Most beef jerky that I've seen is somewhere in the 98-99% fat-free range, and there are a LOT of varities of yogurt that are 96+% fat-free.

Edit: besides that, beef jerkey is a great source of protein, and yogurt is a good source of calcium. Also, if the yogurt has live cultures, they supposedly aid in weight loss.

definitly didnt think of jerky.

problem with yogurt is the shelf life. i wouldnt be able to keep it cool. i'm looking for things like the nuts, and jerky.

any other help would be great.
