Iraq and Syria are not exactly well off by Western standards or even Gulf State standards, especially after many years of war.
Not now of course because those nations are engulfed in wars. However both nations have/had very large populations of educated people some of whom are part of ISIS. Yet as you said ISIS is made up of many types of people, both from the region itself and those outside of it. Additionally you previous statements still does not address why Western Muslims are drawn to ISIS when almost every example so far of these muslims is of those who are by all accounts well off and/or well educated people.
