What is your write amplification?

Intel 330 240GB

F9 - Total NAND writes = 5556GB
E1 - Host writes = 4660GB

Write Amplification = 1.19

Of course this is a Sandforce controller so WA is lower due to compression.

I was wondering how other drives are behaving in this respect?
I am using it as the boot drive with everything except movies on this drive.

Dividing capacity (240GB) into total NAND writes (5556/240) gives 23 write cycles used. My media wear indicator is still at 100 so the endurance as calculated by Intel is at least 23x100=2300 right?

SMART doesn't show F9 "Total nand writes", but I do show F2 "Total LBAs read" of 12.54 TB.

That's about a 1.87 to 1 ratio. Write amplification?

12540/80 is about 157. Write cycles used?

Media wearout indicator 98. It was at 100 for about the first 3 years of my 4 years of ownership.

My SSD contains Windows and all programs, no "data". All storage is on HDDs.

What's the proper inference---what does it reveal to you?

My work machine with SSD Pro 1500 and bitlocker is > 4

Without the host writes you can't make meaningful calculations. Too bad. Since your media wear indicator is down two points we could have estimated the endurance of the 320. I have a 320 as well and can't find the host write data either.
