What is your weirdest (or most difficult) experience of communicating with another person?

For me it would have to be working at a charity last year with mute children. Considering I don't know sign language, I found it pretty difficult to communicate with them at first. :(

Eventually we devised a hybrid system of pictionary, and body language hot/cold!

I imagine this thread won't get serious responses. But I decideed I'd put it out there anyways.

People you've known who've suffered a debilitating stroke with them losing their speech can be tough.

This morning, trying to get a user to go to the address bar in internet explorer. I wanted to hit myself in the head with the phone until I was unconcious.

You know, I'm actually glad you're gay. Makes the future more tolerable.

i was dating this chick once.... we had been seeing each other about every other day for about 2 weeks. one night, i overheard a message from another guy on her machine, and she seemed to be embarrassed about it. So I told her that I wasn't concerned about it since we had only been seeing each other for such a short period and didn't consider it a monogamous relationship at that point.

Over the next 6 hours, I was given the silent treatment, threatened, seduced, and eventually attacked with a butcher knife. I escaped eventually in one peice. The key to the her psychotic fit was my mentioning that I thought it was okay if we dated other people.

boy did I learn a lot that night...

its gonna be hard for me to communicate w/my GF's family when I go to Nicaragua w/her in 2 weeks. I know a little bit of spanish, and can understand it much better than I can speak it, but its still going to be very awkward for me at first in Nicaragua. I hve never been to a country where English is not spoken everywhere.
