What is your uses with Windows 2000?

I have it, and I just can't make up my mind what to do with it, I scan, write documents, NOT surfing (it is setuped to "use" the net) and NO games (altought they seem to work fine...).

If I can't get power management and irq sharing to cooperate with it I'll be using it as a frisbee soon . I usually use Millennium for gaming and 2000 for everything else.

I usually use 2000 for basically everything I do, except the small amount of programs/games I own that don't run on it.

I use win2k for all my normal applications, like word processing, Cd bruning, ICQ, Net, etc... I don't game much so win2k works great for me...

Everything. Web dev (ColdFusion Studio, Photoshop, etc.), surfing, gaming. I ditched Win98 back in February. Haven't looked back.

I use Win2k strictly for Freecell and that Pinball game that doesn't come with Win98.

Use it for word processing, surfing, programming, graphics editing, some games, and the norm. loaded Win2K on my machine in mid march as a dual with 98SE now WinME. Hardly ever go into ME anymore to play the games that don not work in Win2000. Heck of a lot more stable OS. Gonna set up my machine this weekend with just WIN2K and never look back.

ripped DVD, burned Cd's, run FTP server, Gaming, cruise the internet{main thing}. And just started cracking RC. I love this OS. Haven't seen BSOD or reboot for a long time. I wonder what's the record time have someone went without a reboot.

 

Soon as the new Mushkin rev2 comes in Im tossing in 2k and want to stick with that.
Even though I had a few pain in the ass problems with it before.
Now I think I have a machine that can run it effectivly.
Mabey keep a second Me box on the old 333 for the girl to jam on while I slick my box out

What Don't I use it for is a better question.

Fireburner doesn't work with my USB burner under Windows2k. That's it. That is the 1 single reason I reboot to 98. So far it's the only program that is 100% with ISOs for me.
