whatever. my parents either used soap or alum (the stuff used to pickle pickles - it is the most gawdawful-sour-bitter flavor you can imagine, and it stays with you for HOURS) when I got outta line. it wasn't abuse, and i'm grateful (now) that they took the hard line with me rather than let me get off light (and i DID get off light, compared to some kids i kn(e/o)w. i figured out pretty quick that they were serious and that the alum would get brought out - that was enough to make me fly straight at several critical junctures. it wasn't torture, it was simply conditioning (like pavlov's little doggies). they reinforced - i learned.
i'm sick of whiny-ass wimpy parents. grow a pair and quit trying to live voraciously through your kids - just be a fvcking parent...
