What is your sleep schedule like?

I can't get a good schedule going. I wake up really tired, then when I get home from work I am so tired I sometimes go right to bed (~7pm). I then wake up expecting it to be 3am, but only an hour has passed. Then I am very hungry, get some food, browse web, watch tv, etc until 2am, ensuring that yet again I only get 4 or 5 hours of sleep and will wake up tired as hell (and probably late) for work.

Saturday and sunday I wake up at around 9am, but purposely stay in bed, sometimes till 1 or 2pm, drifting in and out of sleep. I think here I am trying to make up some of the lost sleep. This just ends up ruining my weekends as I don't get much done and miss out on most of the day.

Anyone else do this? Any tips on forcing yourself to get a regular sleep schedule? The few timespans where I remember having gotten good nights of sleep I remember feeling like I was 20-30 IQ points more than how I feel now.

Don't nap, at least not longer than half an hour. When you decide to go to bed, expect to stay there until your alarm goes off in the morning. Start going to bed around the same time every day and getting up around the same time every day, even on the weekends.

That's all there is to it.

My sleep schedule?

M - F: 1am - 7:30am
Sa-Su: 2am - 3PM

Saturday and sundays are catchup days. It really starts to drag out once I hit thursday and friday mornings though. :-/

I like to get good night of rest before going to church on Sundays. For rest of the week, 6-8 hours is OK for me, though 8.5 hours is optimal. Any less than 5 hours, and I really don't feel right at school- either I'm too tired, or too jittery because I need a lot of caffeine.
