what is your preference for TV's?

LCD, thin is in. But direct view tubes still offer the best value, and arguably the best picture quality. You just can't beat the sex appeal of a $5k LCD TV though.

thin TV's are nice...but what if you dont want to wall mount it??? Would you still spend the extra cash?
 
I can't afford a really good TV so I'm not really educated on what the different techs are. I have a plain ol' CRT in my living room.
