What is your OC?

None of my systems have ever been very overclockable, but I did coax my Athlon XP 2500+ (Barton core, 1.83 GHz) to 3200+ speed (2.2 GHz). It's run at that speed pretty much since I bought it, a year ago. I also had a Duron 800 that was fairly stable at 1.0 GHz. I drew all over that CPU with a mechanical pencil, to unlock the multiplier. Those were the days.

I haven't tried pushing my Opteron 246s yet, and I probably won't. It would be fun, of course, but I don't want to screw up expensive server hardware.

current system 3200 Winnie @ 2.6 (as in sig)

xp 2500 barton @ 2450Mhz

Celeron 1.2 @ 1.6

Celeron 300a @ 450 (a VERY sweet OC at the time!)

Sempron paris 3100+ @ 2.069 Ghz by raising the fsb to 230 mhz 1:1 ratio. Timings of the ram is @ 3-3-3-8...and it's value ram!!!! also It can go further above 244 mhz. But just to be in the safe side, I stayed @ 230 mhz fsb, stable on prime95 12 hrs + or more (yet to be determined)

AMD 64 3200+ Venice

2.0 Ghz stock 1.35v
2.71 Ghz 1.62v (285X9.5)

All on a xp-90 with a 92mm nexus that only blows 27 cfm.

I myself only have 1 computer that I OC

P4 2.6 @ 3.64 cooled by air
Nvidia 5600XT @ 460 core and 380 mem (Thats what you do when you cannot afford a good VGA card, OC it MAD)
Transcend 512Mb DDR400 3-4-4-8 200Mhz @ 2-2-2-5 180Mhz (Mosel chipped, pretty good for RAMs that cost me under 50US)

In the past I have OCed other VGA cards
5950Ultra
X800Pro
9800XT
but none of which are mine...........🙁

Running my 3800x2 at 2.52 on 1.5v. The first core will do 2.8 but second core is a fat overweight midget and refuses to budge past 2.52 (not even to 2.53 on 1.55v). When I need more juice I guess I can put it at 2.8 and put all the non-necessary apps on the unstable core, and run my games on the 2.8 stable core =P

you're such a PC fanboy

I will take that!!!!

Eveyone of my platforms was a step up in performance in conjunction with updated chipsets and vid cards perhaps...The AMD XP and Barton came in with my P4s but were for my son and to play around with to compare against my P4c.....

The A64 winchester upgrade was more of a lateral move from my P4 2.4c@3.5ghz...But as ppl remember my intent with the A64 sckt 939 was to hold steady and be ready for an X2 chip...and here 6-7 months later I have it...The X2 is the single largest percentage upgrade I ever had.....well worth the 546 dollars....I had eveyrthing else...

I just overclocked for the first time, PC specs in sig.

I got it to 2205 MHz on the stock fan. At full load temp is stable at 50C. Doesn't seem like I can do much else with it. I can't get it to boot if I lower the RAM:FSB divider anymore than it is. I can't increase the voltage or I'll fry it. ...and my memory hangs up if I increase the FSB speeds anymore.

Any suggestions? For a first time overclocker I think I did OK with the components I'm using.
