What materialistic possession do you currently own that you would consider your most valuable possession?

Human life doesn't count on this one. Not valuable in price range. But valuable to you.

I'd have to say my car.

Strict monetary value?

I really don't have anything that's worth more than a few thousand dollars, except my home.

Both my cars are 10+ years old.

My house.

2nd most valuable: My other house. (I rent it out)

Maybe rephrase the original question to exclude homes and vehicles?

are you talking about money, or if you had to answer the question "if there was a fire, what would you grab (what is the most valuable to you)?"? Money, I'd say car. If I had to grab 1 thing I'd probably grab my PC b/c of the files, pictures, etc.

Well, since I don't actually own my car, I would have to say my Martin.

A rifle I inherited from my grandfather, which also belonged to my great-grandfather. It is a Holland and Holland double rifle, in .375 H&H, made in 1915. I have a standing offer from a collector for $75,000 for that rifle.

Number two would have to be another rifle, or part of one. Registered M16 lower receiver. Paid 10,000 for it a little over a year ago, I know I could get $15,000 out of it now if I wanted to. It may not be the second most valuable thing as far as money value is concerned, but it is worth a lot more to me personally.

The third thing on the list would be my truck.

I'd have to go with the houses as well. Based on 'most valuable' I'd say the compound in Mexico.

You don't have to have a class 3 license to own one, just have to fill out the form 4 and pay the ATF $200 for the tax stamp.

Oh yeah, and you have to wait. A long time. But it is worth it in the end.

Photos of my grandmother. Everything else is material to me. Sure, it would suck to lose my home, car, HDTV, laptop, etc. but they can all be replaced thanks to homeowner's insurance.

Nothing really. I wouldn't cry much if I lost everything that I own, as long as Insurance writes the check.

i was going to say the house but if we lost it we would find a new one.

the things we couldn't get back would be photos and home movies.

Insurance usually doesn't cover much (couple thousand max usually) in the way of firearms unless you have a rider.

Just an FYI.
