What is your monitor's colour temperature set to?

For four years I've been using 9300K, but I just switched it over to 6500K and boy does the colour of my digital photos suddenly look a lot better. I like the bright whites on 9300K though...

9300K, 6500K looks terrible, 5000K looks even worse

Maybe I'm supposed to calibrate something else apart from just changing the color temperature?

I use something between 6500 and 9300. 9300 is far too blue for my eyes, but 6500 is a tad too dark. Given only those two I'll choose 6500 any day. 9300 is harsh.

why on earth would you have it on anythign less?>?
