what is your grading scale for posts?

i sometimes see posts get graded, ie someone will say 10/10, 7/10, 0/10, etc. but i imagine we all have our own partial grading scale.

what do you use for a grading system for posts?

my scale of 10 to 0 would be as follows:

10/10 - makes me laugh until i cry, or teaches me something that saves me 100$

8/10 - makes me laugh, or teaches me something that saves me 10$, or discusses something i am very interested in personally, or shares something that i find touching emotionally

6/10 - above average funny or informational post that i dont regret clicking, or a funny or useful necro, or makes someone angry in a humiliating way, or someone gets vacationed (but not me), or a funny imitation thread

4/10 - a pointless necro, or a post where everyone expresses a viewpoint i dont agree with, or a neff thread, or an unfunny imitation thread

2/10 - a thread that leaves me feeling sad or depressed, or where everyone makes fun of me, or a thread of mine that gets locked

0/10 - any thread which generally supports terrible things. or a thread where i get vacationed

the +1/-1 spreads depend on my mood when reading the post

so your scale is a binary pass/fail?

interesting

it seems that might not provide enough granularity to adequately grade posts

derp. he means out of 5, since you went with only 6 choices in your scale of 10 (0,2,4,6,8,10) where 6 choices in a scale of 5 is what you need.

derp.

Basically, I figure I'll be mauled by pumas and struck by lightning before being pleasantly surprised by a post here.

I try not to be cynical, and certainly don't get all grammar nazi like the brothers Newnan, but there are just too many P&N cross posters to make this a truly happy off topic forum.

I would be glad to turn this into a "thread of mine that gets locked"
what a total waste of my precious time, by the way do most of the "contributors" here also see or need to seek psychiatric help? D:

And WHY is there no reputation system here as NBR has?

wishing ill upon my thread: -3/10
bizarre yet intriguing use of spoiler tags: +7/10
lack of meaningful content: -2/10
not explaining what NBR is: -1/10
final score: 1/10

My scale goes to 11. Most people have 1 to 10. But, let's say a thread is at 10, all the way up for most people. All the way up. And someone says something to make it a little better. But, you're on 10, where can you go from there? Where? No where! But what I do, if I need that extra push over the cliff? Eleven. Eleven. One more.

But, my scale goes to eleven.

Quoted for posterity.

I don't know, but I haven't cracked the code for consistently posting any OT threads above maybe 4/10. I think most of my ATOT originals are around 2/10, haha. But I get bored, so I keep posting. My goal is to someday defeat Old's Law. It's a lofty goal, but it keeps me going.
