Prefer iced tea myself.
Dont drink hot tea at all, and coffee only very rarely, like when going out to breakfast.

If you take a circle and cut it up about 12% of the flavors are coffee and the rest tea both black and green or India vs China. Green teas are incredibly varied and take time to learn and appreciate. High end black teas will surprise you pleasantly with flavour and after taste. These are huge worlds to explore.
I consider coffee my recreational drug of choice.
Yemeni Mocha is the starting point of wonderful coffee followed by Tanzanian Pea berry then The Ethiopians followed by the old Kenyans.

I have head a lot about Jamaican Blue Mountain -- I will have to try!!
It's very good, but very expensive. Haven't had it in years, because I can't justify it :p
Maybe if I put it on my wish list I can get some for Father's Day.

Everytime i look it up it's around 40$ for a 1 pound bag, it and kona are excellent but way to expensive. I've got some Papua New Guinea medium roast beans for this week, nice flavour

I like oolong tea for easy everyday drinking. Green tea is nice too but is not easy to drink as oolong.

Eight O'Clock Whole Bean Coffee The Original ground with a Krups blade grinder and fixed in a regular 4 cup coffee pot. 14-16 ounces is all I need to start my day. I've tried an AeroPress and French press and to me they are just wasting 5 extra minutes for marginally better coffee. If I wasn't so lazy I would grind a bunch of beans with my manual hand grinder and make a batch iced coffee.

No offense meant, but even the thought of iced coffee makes me cringe. My grandson who just graduated from college likes it though.

I used to think the same way. I drank black coffee for 30 years and I wanted to try something different. It's also kind of refreshing when it's warm out.

Can definitely attest to Jamaican Blue Mountain... had it for the first time back in like 2010 and thought it was amazing. Was on a trip last year that part was in Jamaica - and there you can get it at any Starbucks. Made sure to buy a cup, it was just as good as I remembered.

Damn, I knew coming into this thread would be a mistake. Now I want some Earl Grey and some Jamaican Blue Mountain. Sadly I'm out of both, and don't want to go to the store. Perhaps I'll get up early tomorrow and go.

Yes, 100% Kona would be my second choice, last I checked that was still coming in at $25/lb or so.

Personally I would put quality/fresh Kona first and Blue Mountain second but yeah both are on the pricy side.

I also really like Premium Sumatra.

As for tea nothing beats a nice English-made Earl Grey with 1/2 teaspoon of honey.

Never had Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee, but I want to try it now.

I tend to like more medium to medium-dark roasts - French roast is always good.

Tea is alright, if you're a pussy. It's pretty much just flavored water.
