Actually I'm not so sure he should try that. If he despises Bat Country, there's a good chance that he won't like anything else on City of Evil, as almost all the songs are still in the same vein. The only one that isn't very similar is Seize the Day (which is an excellent song, though repetitive).

I just HATE the repetitiveness of it with the Ie-ie-ie part, just drives me crazy with rage.

That's a problem with A7X, they attract all the weird people. As a band, I guess the kind of music they play is prone to these people, but they're better than that. I like them, along with Coldplay, Jack Johnson, Sum 41, and techno

I appreciate them for the music they make, though, and not the lyrics. That, IMO, is the important thing.

You are so right. I was the only guy in a polo shirt at their concert. Everyone else was all decked out in all black w/ white paint and eyeshadow on their faces, black nails, and chains. I felt way out of place, but A7X will always be one of my fav. bands for their music alone - its just put together so well.

In that case, check out M.I.A. and Trashed and Scattered. Beast and the Harlot is pretty good, too.

Unfortunately, Bat Country's one of the songs that gets old after you hear it one too many times. MIA and Seize the Day don't suffer as much from this syndrome.

What I don't understand is why Bat Country's so popular. It's not even a very good song, compared to the rest of the album. The wonders of radio...

I fcking love Bat Country, it's a dam good song IMO...
