I am just curiuos as to which trilogy of movies is your's guys favorites. When I really sit down and think about it, it's kind of hard for me to decide on which is my favorite, because in most trilogies there is one that I don't like too much. I would have to say, as far as being able to watch the movies over and over and still enjoying them as much as the time before, would have to say ...

Austin Powers.

Go ahead and flame me, but I think that trilogy I could watch over and over and just laugh my a$$ off everytime. If I can think of another one I will edit and post it on here too, because I'm sure after seeing what other people say, it might make me remember something I forgot.

So which movie trilogy do you like the best?

EDIT:

Adding Die Hard and Terminator to my favorites.

Terminator or Back to the Future series. I don't like magic-type-sci-fi like LOTR, Star Wars or Star Trek but I like futuristic-type sci-fi.

Edit: Forgot the Indiana Jones trilogy.

Edit x 2: My memory must be shot. I forgot American Pie as well. :(

aaah i COMPLETELY forgot about the Terminator series. That sure as hell did rock, but I think the only one I can watch over and over and not get sick of it is Terminator 2. That movie just rocked all hell when it came out, and it still does to this day

LoTR. Nothing else comes close for me. I was 20 when the first Star Wars movie was released and never saw it until it was on cable years later. I never caught the Star Wars bug and that is still the only one out of all of them I have seen.

Disagree. All the LOTR movies were great. The Star Wars movies went from great to dark, but still great, to horrible. Return of the Jedi had some of the worst acting ever.

LOTR is by far number one.

Star Wars original trilogy

Alien, Aliens, Alien 3

The director's cut for Alien 3 really changed my mind on it. Also I pretend to think that Alien Resurrection never happened. I couldn't believe when they had that mutant Alien baby thing kill a f*cking ALIEN QUEEN in one measly swipe! The most powerful, most badass movie creature ever conceived, killed in one crappy swipe. Man that pissed me off.

Hard to pick just one, but I'd have to exclude Austin Powers, the Godfather, American Pie, and Termintator for having bad part 3's.

Star Wars 4-6, LotR, Die Hard, Indiana Jones, and Back to the Future are some good ones.

i would also have to add the Child's Play movies, but they added part 4 (bride of chucky) if I had to choose a horror trilogy. those movies just make me crack up, even though I know they are supposed to be horror. I can watch part 3 of those over and over and over, and everytime I just crack up at that movie.

Man...I couldn't believe that you just posted a spoiler and killed the suspense with one swipe.

Not that I had any intention of watching it anyway..... :p

aaah dude ... i have to disagree with you on the austin powers. IMO, part 3 is the funniest, then comes part 2, then comes part 1. But then again, I didn't see these movies in order. I saw part 2 first, then part 1, then part 3. But still, part 3 gets me rolling more than any of the others heh.

but for the rest of the movies, I agree ... although, Terminator 3 was a lil better than I expected it to be (expect it to be horrible), and I really like how they ended it ... that judgement day was inevitable.

BTW, Die Hard and Indiana Jones are soon to become more than trilogies... My hopes aren't too high though, Harrison Ford is in his sixties now, no? And Bruce Willis isn't far off either. Not that they shouldn't be acting, they're good at what they do - but as action heroes?
