What is your favorite John Carpenter film?

go 'ghost of mars'!! 😛

voted 'halloween'. tough decision though, 'escape from new york' was a contender. but then i remembered kurt russell is with goldie hawn, and i cant stand goldie hawn. so kurt loses out by association.

I was a big fan of Big Trouble in Little China, Halloween, Escape from L.A., and Escape from New York. I really like most of Carpenters films though, but my fav has to be Prince of Darkness. Such a great horror flick. 🙂

Why even bother offering other choices.... anyone who doesnt vote for BTILC simply hasnt seen the movie.

for a limited time, you can pick up a six demon bag from World of warcraft.

Yeah I knew that... someone in my guild had one... but I never did get to see it in action.

Halloween is one of the best 'scary' movies ever. Definetely IMDB top 250 material, IMHO. It gets my vote. BTILC kicks a$$, though. It should be commended for its accurate portrayal of Asian culture.

Jack Burton: Egg, what is that stuff?
Egg Shen: Black blood of the earth.
Jack Burton: What, you mean oil?
Egg Shen: No, I mean black blood of the earth!

Wow, tough...
I'm a huge fan of Big Trouble, but I love Escape from New York and Vampires as well.
Escape because it's a cool movie, and Vampires because James Woods kicks ass all over the place in it, and it's got one of my favourite bad ass bosses ever.

Ripped from IMDB:
Jack Crow: You ever seen a vampire?
Father Adam Guiteau: No I haven't.
Jack Crow: No... Well first of all, they're not romatic. Its not like they're a bunch of fvckin' f@gs hoppin' around in rented formal wear and seducing everybody in sight with cheesy Euro-trash accents, alright? Forget whatever you've seen in the movies: they don't turn into bats, crosses don't work. Garlic? You wanna try garlic? You could stand there with garlic around your neck and one of these buggers will bend you fvcking over and take a walk up your strada-chocolata WHILE he's suckin' the blood outta your neck, alright? And they don't sleep in coffins lined in taffata. You wanna kill one, you drive a wooden stake right through his fvckin' heart. Sunlight turns 'em into crispy critters.

😀

Very very hard.

I mean, I liked the orginial Halloween.
Escape from New York ask good as well.

Cannot forget They Live, Big Trouble Little China and Cristine.

This is a hard one. Dating myself now...
I remember watching "Assault on Precinct 13" and "The Fog" in the theater. Walking home in the dark after was priceless!
Escape from NY, just rocked as a teen. But the best Movie was probably "The Thing", it holds up very well, and the sort of no happy end was worth it too!
