What is your favorite game released this year?

Have been buying older games on sale at steam. No game released so far has been worth full price to me.

The games I am eagerly anticipating are:
Skyrim
Mass Effect 3 (please dont mess it up Bioware, or make another MMO)
Next installment of Starcraft or Diablo, if either comes out this year.

Got DA2 on sale, was OK to me but not great. Want to get Fable 3 when it goes on sale. Was totally put off by the demo of Dungeon Seige 3, and really wanted a good game from that franchise.
 
Hands down portal 2. With the modding tools released people can now make puzzles that would give Einstein headaches.
 
I've only played one 2011 release so far, Shift 2 Unleashed. Like most racing games, I have fun with it for a while, then it gets boring about halfway through the single player mode and I stop playing. Not a bad game though, I got it on sale and it was worth the $18. Good graphics and immersion, definitely feels more "real" than most racing games I've played. The controls are twitchy and unforgiving, even after applying the proper settings for a controller, but it makes doing well that much more rewarding.

I'm mostly still working on games from 2009-2010. Right now I'm going through both Fallout New Vegas and Metro 2033. Earlier in the year, I was playing Just Cause 2, STALKER CoP, League of Legends, Batman AA, Mass Effect 2, and Battlefield Bad Company 2.

So far this year there hasn't been much worth buying, at least not at or close to the price at release. I do intend to get Portal 2 once it's a bit cheaper.
 
Wife just reminded me that Dead Space 2 did actually come out this year and i checked, it came out in Jan.

So i revise my original post to say The Witcher 2 and Dead Space 2 both get my vote so far this year.
 
Haven't played Witcher 2 yet since I want to complete 1 first...

So I have to say Rift gets my vote as favorite game released this year
