I’ll start with mine. I love Mages. Not just because they often look good among other classes but they are also one of the best nukers that you can get when hunting, grinding and boss raiding. The only thing that they’re so squishy :(

So here’s my different mages from different games:

Shit, all I play is mages as well. I have an 85 resto shaman that I enjoy healing with but ranged DPS will always have a special place in my heart. Least amount of responsibility, because that's how I like it.

Damage dealing tanks (Dwarven Champion in LoTRO, Knight in Priston Tale)

Bow/Crossbow/Sling/Gun user (RNG/NIN, RNG/THF in FFXI, Archer in Priston Tale, Bowman in LoTRO, Archer in Perfect World, Elemental Bow-using Shadow in Path of Exile)

A class that I will never ever ever play: Cleric/Healer/Someone whom must heal to keep people alive.

I'm usually some sort of melee damage dealer, and I tend to gravitate toward Rogues/Thieves or similar dual-wielding characters. I usually tend to enjoy classes that have the capability to close distances quickly, which reminds me of why I created a Warrior in WoW as my third character. This was way back in vanilla, and I let my sister play on my account a little bit. Well, I saved some items for her, and I wanted to get them out of my inventory/bank. So, I got on her warrior, and for kicks, I went around charging some creatures. Golly gee, it was a barrel of monkeys!

Unfortunately, the rest of the warrior leveling experience was not that much fun. That probably makes even more sense if I say that the first two characters that I leveled to 60 (I did mention that the Warrior was my third) was a Rogue and shadow Priest. Both of those classes were significantly easier to level. To note, my fourth and final character prior to the release of The Burning Crusade was a Mage. That was fun, but still not as easy as the first two.

Anyway! That also reminds me of how I enjoyed playing the Barbarian in Diablo III. I looooove leaping into a group of mobs and watching their insides go SPLURT from the crushing blow of awesomeness!

I like playing a warrior class in pretty much any MMO. I love charging head first into shit and just melt faces. And tanking in PVE is always fun.

Back in the days of WOW, I had an orc warrior in full Season 2 arena gear supported by my resto shaman buddy, people actually ran away from me in PVP, it felt so good :)

I almost always prefer a rogue, i prefer a move up front melee dps, not so much on the steath side. Higher dps, with the trade off of leather armor, and having to dodge a lot going on.

I seem to be a really good healer, but I like to melee DPS too.

Really, I like most all roles. I first started in FFXI as a RDM, but seems I mostly got groups by healing.

I like and play most classes. I like different ones the most that aren't common in every MMO like Bard/Enchanter types, for a more typical class I like healers/mages/rogues

Warrior types. I love mage type classes but can never stick to them.

DAOC:Thane, Warrior, Armsman were my mains except for a short stint at the end with a Dark Spiritmaster which was probably the most fun of any class in any game.
WoW:Warrior, Rogue, DK
GW2:Guardian, Warrior.

I loved that Dark Spiritmaster. I spec'd here for fastest cast times. I could melt cloth and medium wearing players in a matter of seconds with life tap.

Warriors most of the time with rare exceptions (such as archers or mages, or healers), either going "tank" or "dps", but preferring the tank role mostly when available (rarely both tank and dps though, even when possible, usually trying to focus on one build rather then trying something hybrid).

Melee/Warriors aren't face melters. That's a caster class.

I've always played Mages in any RPG game. Maybe because I find fighters incredibly dull and boring. I could swing a sword in real life if I wanted to but I can't fling fire bolts from my hands no matter how hard I try.

I don't know if I have a favorite class but I tend to like hybrid classes.

In DAoC my main was a paladin
In WoW my main was a druid
In Rift my main was a ranged rogue

I've never really been good with a pure caster class. I would like to play one as a main sometime but think the frail beginnings just turn me off and I can't stick with it.

I like a damage dealing classes, but not ones that need stealth or pets. I don't mind buffing, and hate crowd control. Usually play a warrior and mage. Maybe I just get lazy, but worry about others is not what I want to do when I get home. Deal with enough babysitting at work.

I prefer Warrior type characters be it a pure Warrior/Barbarian but I'm cool with stuff like Paladins or Death Knights. Basically I stick to plate wearing melee characters. I love both tanking and DPS but I find that in a group the tanking is more challenging and rewarding. Most of my WoW time was spent as a Main Tank for my guild from SSC through Black Temple (Illidan pre 3.0 was my personal favorite) and Sunwell and well into Wotlk.

Whatever the best tank is. In EQOA that was the Warrior, probably an Ogre CM'ed as a Juggernaut for max HP. Can't believe I still remember that.

WoW tanks are all gimped jack of all trades classes because of the rage system and the total lack of meaningful stat customization.

I always liked characters that are somehow versatile or unusual, like druid in WoW, Necromancer in Guild Wars and Lineage 2.
I don't like straightforward 2buttons DPS classes, in WoW I preferred tanking or healing. In Guild Wars I liked the support role of necromancer/monk or necromancer/mesmer.

I prefer melee dps characters, but I'm all about PVP in MMO's, and melee in MMO's involves far too much twitchy-ness for my tastes, so I generally gravitate towards ranged DPS'ers. I usually prefer a class with some amount of utility as well rather than just straight up glass cannon dps.
