1985 Ford Crown Victoria Station Wagon, Gigantic doesen't even begin to drescribe this masssive hunk of metal.
1986 Nissan Sentra, My parents bought it new in February of '86, drove it for 10+ years, sold it to one of my dads buddies as a deer lease vehicle. Used for another 3 years there before being sold to a Mexican, its probably still running around SoB.
1986 Chrysler LeBaron, My current car, still going after 19 years...

Saw one of those on the road the other day. Still a beautiful car.

As for my personal favorite, the RUF CTR "Yellow Bird". 211 mph in 1987.

The Ferrari Testarossa and Lambo Countach of any 80's year pwn all the cars you listed.
How? What did either of those type of cars contribue to the 80s era that sets them apart from the ones I listed?

The Testarossa is just a carbon copy of it's self for most of the years and the Countach was only noticeable because of it's top speed which isn?t anything new because car companies have always tried to better each other in that area over the years.

what kinda of car did Don Johnson have on Miami Vice...wasn't it a lambo???
It was a replica of a Ferrari Daytona Spyder.
HE had a Testarossa too, after the Daytona blew up. I loved both of those cars.
The look on his face was priceless when that arms dealer dude blew up his car with a Stinger. Ferrari didn't want them using a replica car so they donated the Testarossa...nevermind that the show used a replica Testarossa based on a Pantera chassis for the action shots.

Anyway, how can you NOT say that those cars offered nothing to the 80s? They were part of the whole Miami Vice style, part of the whole excess of the 80s.

1985 Ford Mustang GT ? Brought the muscle back to muscle cars
1985 Mazda RX-7 ? The last of a sporty car design
1987 Buick Grand National ? Any V6 car that can beat a Corvette is OK in my book.
1988 Pontiac Trans Am GTA ? One of the first luxury muscle cars
1989 Nissan 300 ZX Turbo ? I believe this car sparked the import sport car market.

What and why are your favorite cars from the 80?s?

That might be the worst list I've ever seen.

There is only one car from the 80's:

Ferarri F40. :D

The 89 300ZX turbo was just the last year of the Z31 body style. The (Japanese) import sports car market was sparked by the Datsun 240Z.
The early Z and ZX nissan are good cars but didn't capture the average American's attention like the 300ZX Turbo plus other than the RX-7, Supra, and Z/ZX there wasn't much of a market.

 has any Z outsold the 79zx?

Also what do you mean by the "import sport car market". It was alive and at its best before 89. The 90s turned it to sh!t trying to make supercars. Yes the desire was there for the cars but the money wasn't as evidenced by the mass extinction of 30-40K sports cars)

Whoooooo!!!! ;)

I've always liked my T/A, but I'd trade it for one of these in a heartbeat. Only produced one year, 15xx total made, turbo V6 (GN motor), arguably one of the fastest cars produced in the 80s - and today one in good shape will go for well upwards of 20K. Crappy ones will still get 10k or so.
Always loved the Grand National - probably the last thing you'd expect from Buick.
Porsche 928 was awesome (I know, technically it came out in the late 70s)
944 turbo = sweet

I STILL don't get why they bothered putting so much effort into a six. Why not turbocharge a V8 instead?

Because Buick didn't make a V8 any more and they wanted a completely Buick Musclecar.
