There are so many...

New Order - Blue Monday
Joy Division - Love Will Tear Us Apart Again
The Stranglers - All Roads Lead to Rome
The Stranglers - Skin Deep
Thomas Dolby - One of Our Submarines
A-Ha - The Sun Always Shines on TV

And many, many more... music back then was SO much better than the crap we have now.

Look in any of these albums:

Texas Flood (1983 - Epic Records)
Couldn't Stand The Weather (1984 - Epic Records)
Soul To Soul (1985 - Epic Records)
Live Alive (1986 - Epic Records) (this is a collection of live recordings from 1983 - 1985)
In Step (1989 - Epic Records)

I'm sure you weren't talking about SRV, were you?

Way cool thread. Two thumbs up.

New Year's Day - U2
Nothin' But a Good Time - Poison
Subdivisions - Rush
Take on Me - Aha
Metal Health (Bang Your Head) - Quiet Riot
Mr. Crowley - Ozzy

That's for starters. I have over 300 legally purchased CDs. About 1/2 of them are all 80's music...rock, mostly.

Scanning through my playlist....

Phil Collins - In the Air Tonight
Poison - Every Rose has its Thorn
Extreme - More Than Words (EDIT: Hmmm, seems it was released in 1990)
Belinda Carlisle - Heaven Is A Place On Earth
Bon Jovi - Livin on a Prayer
Frank Mills - Music Box Dancer
Pat Benetar - Hit Me With Your Best Shot
Rocky Soundtrack (who did this song?) - Eye of the Tiger
White Lion - When the Children Cry
Whitesnake - Here I Go Again

That's what I have in my playlist. I may need to spend a few more hours to dig all the good 80s music up.
....but that is what this thread is for, right?
