Tonight, after numerous hours on the road, we were finally 150 miles from home, we stopped at steak and shake and ate delicious burgers and shakes.

Friday, after cursing at the fog in the smokey mountains and the blue ridge highway for like 7 hours, we stopped at Pomodoros in Asheville.

I feasted upon lamb chops, they were magnificent.
Fiancee had some kind of seafood combo, it was tasty too.

Thursday we had appetizers and drinks at "Buffalo Nickel", then we went next door for dinner to "Nine Mile".
The Pierogies at Buffalo Nickel surprised the hell out of me. I have eaten pierogies at at least a dozen different polish restaurants and delis, and the ones at Buffalo Nickel were supremely better to me.

At Nine Mile, I had their namesake, which is essentially Jerk chicken over basmati rice, with some heat thrown in. It was very good, though I was a bit dissapointed they did not have any goat curry or oxtail soup on the menu.

Fiancee at some rare cooked tuna seafood dish, it was very good.

Weds night, we went to Kraken in Columbia SC, it was awesome.
I had an andouille sausage with grits and shrimp meal that reminded me a bit of an etouffee, as well as some appetizers that we ate later that I don't remember due to beer.

Tues... for lunch fiancee and I went to Lizard Thicket, it's a chain of Southern style food places. for being a fast food priced place, it was pretty tasty.

For Dinner, we picked up some Mediterranean food at a place called Mediterranean Cafe in Lexington SC.
This was our only dissapointment.

They have no lamb, no goat, very little seafood.
Food was expensive.
Since we stopped there, I ordered some chicken for fiancee and some steak for me, the chicken was dry, the steak was tasty, but, not really any better than just hitting waffle house and getting their little ribeye.

Mon ... We ate at some sushi/asian style buffet place in Columbia, it was actually really surprisingly good. So many buffets have terrible crap food, but that was all fresh and hot.



Sun... We went to Pho Viet for lunch in Columbia SC. It was fantastic.
Went with their house special pho, essentially various parts of the cow.

We had Bojangles for dinner, tastes kinda like Popeyes, except the biscuits are better, reminded me of what Popeyes biscuits USED to be like.

Sat... We ate at friends house in SC

Friday 11/28 was Smithtown Seafood in Lexington KY. Food was super delicious. Best battered shrimp I ever had, and fiancee loved their catfish.

This is a lot more than just "dinner tonight" ... hehehe ... we ate well on our little road trip ....

Tonight i am eating cooked broccoli with cooked potatoes. And as meat a burger, baked with sliced up Paris mushrooms and sliced up tomatoes and with a sniff of garlic powder and oregano to add to the flavor. I forgot to add that i bake my burgers tomatoes and mushrooms in olive oil.

Tonight i have made a delicious pasta sauce and ate it together with whole wheat (brown) rice. I flavoured it together with "old Amsterdam" rasped cheese. Old Amsterdam has great taste.

I used minced beef meat and baked it together with squeezed garlic, 3 chopped up tomatoes and sliced Paris mushrooms in olive oil. I added some Italian herbs.

Then i added freshly chopped up : Leek, Red onion, zucchini, red paprika and carrot. And let it bake for a while.
Then i added some sieved tomatoes from Heinz.
Some more Italian Herbs and dried garlic powder and stirred it all and let it bake for a while on very low fire.

Mixed it with the brown rice that i had prepared earlier with the rice steamer. And added the rasped cheese.

Tonight i am eating some pieces of chicken that are Tandoori flavored.
I love Tandoor chicken so much.
And to make the dinner complete, a creamy tomato soup with pieces of steamed broccoli and some grated old amsterdam cheese and herbs.
