What is your concern level over what Trump humpers are going to do when Trump is out of office?

Literately it is apparent that trump is a cult leader. Cult members are irrational, and right now they are loosing their shit, but from what I see on other boards, they actually believe that Trump did not lose, and will remain as president.

Yea, they are batshit crazy, but that makes them more dangerous and irrational.

I look in on a forum I used to participate on a lot, without logging in, and it has been reduced to sounding boards for two totally batshit crazy posters. One a trump culter, and the other a jesus culter. Most of the trumper posts, are threads he started, and have 0 responses. One thread he started last week had 217 responses, so I looked out of curiosity. The title of the tread was "voter fraud"... and there were 217 responses, all from this batshit crazy trump humper.

The other poster is about this is the"end of times" and trumps defeat is the final nail in that coffin.

These guys are both retired military, and avid gun collectors and shooters.

Most are cowards. They will act tough like their orange leader. When push comes to shove, they'll tuck tail like a giant chicken. But the few that are totally insane, yeah I'd be worried what they could do

Cowards often lash out though. Stupid and scared is a dangerous combination.

I don't think you'll see anything en masse. Like eelw said, many of these people are the sort who talk tough but quickly cave under pressure (see those overgrown boys playing soldier).

The problem, as you might imagine, is that it only takes one to shoot at a politician or bomb an office. And I'd say there's a non-zero chance of someone out there going that far in hopes of getting revenge for Dear Leader Trump.

Hell, I still remember a few former participants in this forum who were so tightly wound up in fear- and hate-driven conservative politics that they seemed a hair's breadth away from a shooting spree.

But we have the Kyle Rittenhouse's or James Fields (Charlottesville VA driver) types out there.

Pretty funny that you only seem to recount the "Trump inspired" attacks. I guess that's easier than the anti-Trump ones. Keep stirring the flavor aid.

It is a cult. The Republican party is maybe 10-20% of itself, the rest is a Trump cult. As is evidenced by every Republican member of Congress asked what the results of the election were:

27 said Biden
(Actual winner)
2 said Trump
220 refused to answer

Those numbers are disturbing, if this were a movie you would think that the mob boss had threatened the life of their family.

Combine that with the fact that Trump is in a rage demanding the names of the 27.

Imagine worshipping or being beholden to a whining bitchy narcissist like Trump who is so ignorant on so many issues. What a sad state of affairs.

When you consider that the education level in Congress is way higher than the average GED trump supporters.

The Congressional Research Service notes that the vast majority of Members (95 percent) had an academic degree:
  • 168 Representatives and 57 Senators had a law degree. Of these, five (three Representative and two Senators) also hold a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree.
  • 83 Representatives and 16 Senators earned a master's degree – often a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) – as their highest educational degree
  • 27 Representatives and one Senator (Mark Begich) have no educational degree beyond a high school diploma.
  • 23 Representatives (but no Senators) have a PhD
  • 17 Representatives and three Senators have a medical degree (this number includes one Senator with a veterinary medicine degree and one Representative with a dental degree).
  • Five Representatives (but no Senators) have an associate's degree as their highest degree. One House Member has a licensed practical nurse (L.P.N.) degree.

The GOP has progressively crazified their base for decades. It's how they sold trickle down job creator ideology as the middle class has become progressively impoverished. Lots of people tried to tell them to quit, that it would get away from them, but they wouldn't listen. It's how they won elections from Gingrich forward. And Trump, seeing it for what it was, took it away from them. The base was ready for a leadership cult, and Trump is it. They didn't understand quite what happened until it was too late, if they actually cared, anyway. They bought right into it, and now they're his hostages.

Wow, forget the topic at hand. It's been along time since I listened to Rush; they rocked my young teenage mind back in 9th grade! I feel like I've been transported way back in time - thanks DS!

Low concern. Armed right wing militias were supposed to show up at polling stations - didn’t happen. Trump was going to unleash the Proud Boys - not going to happen. Trump supporters were supposed to rise up and start another civil war - not going to happen. There was going to be a coup - coup not found. SCOTUS was going to somehow hand Trump a second term - not going to happen.

What is going to happen is a few poorly attended rallies and protests, some isolated acts of violence and diehard Trump supporters enclosing themselves in a social media echo chamber where Trump is still President.

This. And maybe scattered nutjobs (like the guy who mailed bombs) doing shit. Definitely not widespread revolts.

The far bigger problem will be the crazier and crazier Trumper party politicians that these people will elect in the next 4 years. People that will all gladly overthrow elections. Even in PA there are many former Republican party, and now Trumper party members calling to overthrow the election there.

Half the population has been convinced that the past two presidential elections involved massive fraud against their political party, i.e. their tribe. And Trump is continuing to try to steal this election. The fool you're replying thinks this is not a big deal because conservatives are always innocuous to him.

Be careful of those liberals though. Someone might say something too politically correct then democracy is doomed forever.

It should also be pointed out that most of these people were just elected/reelected by the very same system that they are now denying the results of. It they view the election as liniment, corrupt or what ever, we know these fucking hypocrites don't view their own election in the same light.

Somewhere around a 4 in a one to ten scale.
He will keep doing rallies because he loves the attention. He will keep spouting crazy bullshit because he likes the attention.
Deplorables will eat that shit up but deplorables aren’t good at getting stuff done. They bitch and whine but ultimately they’ll fall in line and do nothing.

I experienced the same thing as the OP on other forums. If they say it enough times then it is true.

They remind me of a poker player on tilt except they have unlimited chips.

It will take awhile, but I think eventually most of them will cry themselves out.
