I've have to go w/ my P3 550E coppermine @ 733, I went from an overclocked 333A celeron to that chip, its still the bigest performance difference I've ever experenced when swaping chips, even more so that moving to dual core. That chip was a screamer w/ an Iwill slocket 2 and a Tyan Trinity 400 S1854 via apollo pro 133a board (hated that board, went through 4 of them over the lifespan of that chip)

P4 3.0 Northwood.. was a great intel chip in the midst of AMD fanboy intel bashing...

Pentium II 300Mhz MALAY SL2W8. I ran that chip at 554Mhz rock solid, it was a great chip, a legend. The Celeron was a champion as well from that era, most of those could do 450Mhz no sweat which is an overclock percentage that hasn't been matched until the G0 Q6600s

My favorite CPU was the 8088 that was in my first personal computer. I had a TI before that, but that was really a game system more than a useful computer.

I played on that 8088 for hours every day, even though I didn't have any games for it. I spent that time playing with GW-BASIC and I wrote my own games. It was fun figuring out how to move sprites around, and create the scenes I had envisioned in my head.

Of course the first will always be the one I have the fondest memories of, but my current CPU seems to do just fine as well

the e2's can easily oc 50% and the lowest clocked ones can oc 100%+
