I've recently aquired a copy of a "Bumfights" documentry and also a copy of "Terrorist killers and Middle-east Wacko's" both made by the guys @ www.bumfights.com and I have to say, it makes me more sick than I've ever felt in my life. I dont understand why people would A) Want to record this stuff B) Want to watch this stuff.

Has anyone seen these video's or parts of them? and if so, whats your take on this stuff? Where do we draw the line, it seems as though civilization as we know it is steadily taking a plunge, where will it end?

ive seen parts and watched a thingie about bum fights, it was disturbing what people do

but you shoudl know that the dudes that started bum fights a and did most of the filming for teh first one are being sued for lots of $$$ and are most likely gonna go to jail
 
I don't care to look up this stuff while at work, but could somebody tell me what bumfights is all about? Is it just people pummelling each other to death, or what?

In short its guys paying bums to beat the living crap out of each other and the like. almost like a Jackass, but these guys are to pussy to do anything to themselves.

The guys that created it videotaped a bunch of homeless people fighting each other.
 
actually its just 2 bums and they pay them with booze to damn near kill each other, its disgusting, luckily the guys are being sued, and from the sound of the thing i watched will be doing time for it

Yeah, the documentry said something to that effect, but there is a BF2 and 3 coming out, as well as this terrorist movie. I just dont understand why people would want to watch that stuff, its plain sick, and i lack the vocabulary to really say what i'm feeling about it all.

If you honestly think civilization is declining, you really need to look at the last 500, 200, 100, or even 50 years. Stuff like this has always been happening, there are always things wrong with society, but as a whole, it has decreased dramatically... the only difference is that with the vast increase in communication technology, stuff like this gets much more attention than it used to.
 
i have seen bumfights 1 and 2. honestly, there is HARDLY any 2 bums just fighting for no reason. I think in both of them there is probably a total of like 3 times they pay 2 random bums to fight eachother. There is alot of messed up stuff though.

1. There is this crackhead that they follow around and watch as he breaks into cars in a parking lot, stealing stuff. This goes on for about 10 minutes.

2. In both of them, there is a "Bum Hunter' segment which parody's the Crocodile Hunter. They basically go out and wrap up a bum that is unsuspecting, usually sleeping, and then do analysis of them as the crocodile hunter does on a crocodile. That is probably the most disturbing to watch, as the homeless guy's are extremely scared and have no clue whats going on.

3. In pt2, there is one segment where they make fun of MTV's Cribs where they kinda document this one guys 'home' which is under a bridge. It's actually pretty damn funny heh, because all the camera work and what not is JUST like MTV Cribs.

4. This is just gross ... they show this one bum pull out his last tooth with a pair of plyers ... now THAT was hard to watch, but for some reason i couldnt turn my head ... until he had already done it.

5. The rest is just random fights caught on tape, not even all dealing with bums.

So for the people who think the ENTIRE series is 2 bums being paid to beat eachother, I think there is actually like 2 or MAYBE 3 of those in both the volumes combined. They are however pretty stupid, and i got a kick out of some of it, but other parts were just stupid.

That makes sense. I dont know a great deal of history although i am interested in it. It just seems like respect for humanity has gone down the drain, but i'm sure your right.

If you must know, first off the documentry is far from the actual video. second, I download movies off the net, mainly to see if they are worth seeing in the theater, and this one i downloaded without looking it up first, and when i started watching and realized what it was, I turned it off and deleted it.

I watched the first Bum Fights and it was icky. Isn't that the one where the bum stumbles and he's so frail that he shatters his ankle? Nasty x 10.

reminds me of the Van Damme movie Hard Target. Lance Henricksen led a group of renegades who paid bums to try and get away while the guys hunted them down...
 
I can't remember if it was in bumfights 1 or 2 but they had a bunch of crackheads diving for crack from the bottom of a pool, I just couldn't stop laughing at that.
