What is wrong with Outlook Express?

I have recently started to get an error message when I try to download my new e-mails. However, this message does not appear everytime I connect with my modem.

"Your pop3 server has not responded in 60 seconds. Would you like to wait another 60 seconds for the server to respond?

The annoying thing about it is that if the download process is interrupted with this message, Outlook will have to download the same e-mails again the next time I connect.

Any ideas why I have started to get this error message?

Not sure why, but I might have a solution to increase the timeout error.

With Outlook Express open, go to Tools --- Acounts...

With the new window that pops up, click on the tab Mail.

Double click on your account name and that'll open a new window and click on the tab Advanced.

Under Server Timeouts increase the time. untitled.GIF

I'm not 100% sure of this since I never had to change mine, but worth a shot.

If you can log into your e-mail account via the web check and delete any spam or anything from there. Sometimes I've had this happen when there's a corrupted e-mail in my inbox on the server and the client can't download it for some reason. HTH
