What is wrong with my Windows media player???

In the last week or so, whenever I try and play a file I get the message

" Windows Media Player cannot [lay the file. If the file is located on the internet, connect to the internet. If the file is located a removable storage card, insert the storage card."

I tried "Upgrading" to windows media player 10, but this still happens.

Any suggestions?

  1. Where's the file? Try, file "save as", and store it locally.

If I clink a online link for instance, I get this message. If I click on a file that's on my computer, I get the same massage...

It even happens if I click on a file loaded on my FTP server.

I get that sometimes with specific links. To get pass it, I have to go to File->Open URL, and type in the URL manually. I think its a server-side problem.
