What is wrong with my memory when i go to 195x10?!?!?Please help!

My memory is bottlenecking my system so incredibly badly!!!! I have a JIUHB and I'm easily seeing 185-200x10 with one exception. The memory is going crazy! With my 2100+ itwas at CAS 2 and something like 6-2-2-2 (Corsair XMS PC2700C2PT) And it was running fine. Now it's something like 9-5-3-3 at CAS3?!?!?! And when I try to set it to the correct settings, my PC won't post. Is this normal,or has this happened before?

You can usually use aggressive memory timings or oc, but seldom both to any great degree.

You're lucky to have run lower timings at all....my XMS 2700 balks at anything other than CAS 2

Perhaps you could list your full system specs? No mind readers here.

So is Cas2 better than Cas3? Or vise versa? I'm not knowledgable in the memory department. Here is my specs

1700+ JIUHB @ 185x10
512 mb Corsair XMS PC2700C2PT
ATi 9700pro (just sold...Upgrading to 9800pro)
Hercules Fortissimo III (just sold)
200gb WD 8mb Cache
