What is wrong with my GTX 295?

I noticed this in the morning while playing EVE Online (SLI Focus Display is #1 and I have two, V-sync is forced off).

Fullscreen on Display #1: aprox 60 fps average
Fullscreen on Display #2 (NOT SLI FOCUSED!): aprox 122 fps average <- ...?

Disabled Display #1 and only used #2: aprox 142 FPS average

So what is going on here:

a) why this change in framerate?
b) does having multiple displays decrease rendering speed even though you only use one of them in games?

60 fps sounds suspiciously like vsync on. 122 does seem low, but I think CCP did something to fix the insane frame rates we were getting before. I was getting 240+ FPS in space and stations, it was cooking the video hardware for no good reason.

Anyway, I think the usual not so great CCP code has vsync work properly on the primary monitor and not so much on the secondary. That's the most likely explanation. eve-o client has never played well with multi-GPU.
