what is wrong with me?

So last night around 2AM or so some of my fingers on my left hand got very numb and I cant lift them or use them properly. Now it is 10AM and same thing.

What could be the problem?

I do most of my driving with the left hand ... but other stuff with right. hmmm ...

Is the numbness just on your hand, or do you feel it on the entire left side? It's possibe that you have a pinched nerve.

pinky, thumb work fine. the other fingers are not lifting properly, not moving freely.

Last time I had something like that happen, I was having a mini-stroke. Had several now; they say it is from my migraines...

Numbness for 8+ hours is not a good thing.

A trip to the ER would be wise, especially if you're middle-aged.

You might have a pinched nerve, but no one here has any real way of telling you what's wrong. Why on earth would you come to an internet forum for medical advice?
