What is wrong with Google Image Search lately?

I've been noticing the last couple of days while doing several searches that using the large image option only yelds a few relevant results at most whereas there used to be hundreds of results for the same queries. Colour me confused.

Example:

http://images.google.ca/images...off&sa=G&imgsz=xxlarge

But I'm looking specifically for large images, the larger the better. Sizes like 2000x3000 for example. I used to get tons of results for these searches.

yeah i know, i noticed that too. its like the search goes completely haywire if you try and select large images. it tends to spit back lots of documents for some reason.

I noticed that a while ago. Google image search has become quite useless.

It never has been useful other than for quick pictures of things that don't need to be high-res.


Find a decent stock photography site and you'll be better off. Lots of them allow you to take pictures for free if you submit some of your own.

It used to be great for finding high-res celeb pics if you knew what key words to use.
