Such as European countries, Asian, Mid East, African, etc?

For example, work in US tends to be fast paced, you are expected to work the entire time you are at the office. Saying you will do this tomorrow to the management does not work in a lot of situations. Acting lazy or having a careless attitude is a sure way to get fired. Corporations hire and fire without any care. Employees feel the same way about their jobs. Find a better one, and take it. There is little job loyalty. Things like sexual and racial harassment are taken seriously (or atleast HR pretends to take them seriously). There is subtle rasicm, but not overly present.

But YMMV for working in the US. Everyone has a different experience.

I only know about working in Mid East countries (the rich Gulf states), but that is just from hearing about it from other people. Basically, real work is done by foreign employees, who get paid far less than the local ones. Depending on their nationality, salaries can be as little as 10 times less than a local. Local person will always get promoted, no matter how hard working the foreign worker is. Locals have no fear of losing their job since they have some sort of a quota system. And that's all I know.

Yeah, the region/industry make a huge difference.
