It seems like for his political progenies, cut-n-run is the new Democratic mantra. I'm glad Bush is fixing most of Clinton's foreign policy mistakes. Instead of shooting $100 million missiles at empty tents, camels, and children medicine factory, he's fighting back.

There's a controversial new Clinton museum 18 miles from my house, and funded partially with illegal funds (under review by the Arkansas courts), and possibly illegally obtained properties. That's a good start.

As far as fixing Clintons shortcomings, he was soooo good at hiding them, that we may never know the extent of them. Bill Clinton was/is a true master of public and press manipulation. It's a common saying here that we only voted for him to get him out of the state. Arkansas has disbarred him, as part of an agreement to avoid his facing charges. That effectively bars him from ever practicing law again. I'm genuinely sure that if you tried however, there would be a few things you could find about him that would be generally considered good.

I do agree with you however that he virtually destroyed the U.S. military in the eight years that he was in office. He did nothing for Arkansas education in his entire career. Thank God for Mississippi, or we'd be last at everything.

Hehe, ain't dat da truth. Bush ruined the nation. That's about enough. The world loved Clinton and hates Bush. Tells you where the brainwashing is. Only in pockets can you find total lunacy or half total lunacy since Gore won.

Of course the world "loved" clinton. Hussein loved him. Kim ill Yung loved him. Even Chirac loved him. What did they like most about Clinton? He brought the United States down to its lowest level ever. He refused to fight back. And he deflected his domestic problems by killing camels. As far as foreign policy is concerned, Clinton was the worst in written memory. BJ Clinton got blowjobs while American's were bombed out of their embassies. His weakness was the reason for bin Laden's boldness and 9/11. Should any democrat follow in his foreign policy footstep: to weaken the US and equate her with other nations, they will lose big-time at the polls. Bush is correcting Clinton's foreign policy mistakes by showing who's boss.

Huh?

The US has no $100 million missiles. Your figures must have come from Paul Wolfowitz or some other ignoranamus. Tomahawk missiles run about $1.9 mil. each.

Is foreign policy success about getting your way or about getting your way without war. Bush certainly knows how to wage war to get his way. Of course when the US spends more on its military than the next 50 nations combined one would assume that to be a foregone conclusion.

What has Bush "fixed" in Iraq? Seems to me that the conclusion is still up in the air.

Everything. Where were you in mid-February of 2000 when Colin Powell was outlining US foreign policy should Bush be elected? I remember that week like it was yesterday.

Well, then I guess that makes about 53 missiles aimed at camels, empty tents, and a medicine factory, right? What did that get us? Nothing.

Bush has fixed Hussein for violating 16 Article VII UN resolutions.

Policy is not action. What did Bush do against terrorism prior to 9/11?

Like I said, look back at that week in history. Bush outlined his vision for the next four years. His main concerns were NATO, WMDs and terrorism. He outlined it in the speech by Powell. He said that every terror-sponsoring nation would be dealt with differently. He said that NATO should be restructured. Powell also spoke about the re-working of the Middle East (peace initiative).

You have to admit Bush did sign the Patriot Act into law after 9/11 and illegally invade Iraq and shot up some caravan in Syria.. he also spent a bit blowing up the landscape in Afghanistan.. and increased the value of Halliburton.. and will insure that we have a democrate in the white house come early '05.

Bush didn't do jack sh!t regarding terrorism prior to 9/11. He didn't act, he merely reacted. Iraq was a waste of time aimed at distracting Americans from the economy, distracting Americans from the fact that OBL was never found, and making it look like he was busy prosecuting the WoT. If you can't be effectual, at least make it look like you're doing something.

EDIT: It's funny how Dari opens this thread pretending to ask about Clinton's legacy, but instead all he does is point out how "cool" Bush is in comparison. Kind of hard to take you seriously anymore Dari, it really is...

I think he spent a good part of his tenure at his ranch, if not mistaken. All that thinking is hardwork.

Probably the most astounding thing about Clinton is tha Bush is ten times worse. That shouldn't have been even theoretically possible.

His legacy includes the inability to add more to the Supreme Thwart which is the reason for the treason.. or however one views the denigration of the nation by lies and mis-deeds.. if that occurred..

Hehehe

I'd like to see one of the Bush supporters that would jump off that Bridge for him post Bush's record up like Smileyz.
Of course they will blame everything Foreign Policy wise on 9/11 and everything Economy related on Clinton.
