What is up with the "today" page?

Can't we have something more useful on the "Recent Annoucements" section? It's a HUGE waste of space if all you are going to do is advertise the subscriber service, which I already pay for... any chance we could make it useful for subscribers?

Go to Customize and under "Which today page would you like to see?", choose Classic.


It looks much better IMO.
