What is up with DHL delivery truck drivers?

Today I was walking down the street in a busy part of town. I came to a stop light where I waited for walk signal to cross. As I was crossing this DHL truck that was making a right hand turn stopped for a second and then drove right past me with quite a bit of acceleration. As it drove past me the driver honked the horn and yelled out his window: "Watch the sign buddy!"

I guess this guy didn't realize two things:

A. The walk signal was flashing.

B. A green light does not mean you can blow right through when you are making a right hand turn. You have to wait for pedestrians which have the right of way.

I'm just puzzled as to why DHL is hiring guys like this.

These trucks might have a "How am I driving?" sticker on the back. Next time, get the number down and call it.

They have to get packages to places on time. I work in boston. You see the same thing cabs, Fedex, UPS, every other car on the road.

Getting packages to places on time is one thing, but not even understanding basic rules of the road is what is at issue here.
